Tom served on active duty in the Army from 1989 until he retired in 2014. After leaving the Army, he moved to Arizona and served as a Peace Officer. In 2017 he moved to Tennessee to be closer to his daughter who was 12 at the time. Tom currently lives in Morrison, TN with his wife, Cindy Davis, and the youngest of their four children.
While in the Army, Tom was a Motor Transport Operator and served in a number of different, difficult and demanding positions which included; Tool Room Clerk, Driver, Training NCO, Squad Leader, Field Recruiter, Drill Sergeant, Small Group Leader/Instructor, Observer/Controller, Operations Sergeant and Platoon Sergeant. He was deployed in support of Operations Desert Shield/Storm, Operation Joint Forge, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
While at the Police Academy, Tom was selected by his fellow recruits to serve as the Class President.
Since moving to Warren County in 2017 Tom has been active with the Veterans of Foreign Wars, The American Legion, his church Safety Ministry and other volunteer activities.
